Skiing in France

Les 3 Vallées is the largest ski area in the world. On the snowy slopes with more than 6000 kilometers of piste you can ski indefinitely – whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier. Will you finish your day at an afterparty or do you prefer to relax? One thing is certain: there is something for everyone here. Let’s go skiing in France!

The best piste

Cold wind strokes through your hair. From the top of Les 3 Vallées you look at the snowy peaks around you. It is so quiet here, that you would almost think that you’re the only one in this magical world. The only thing that makes you realize that there is life around you, is the murmur of the ski lift.

Time for action! With a good speed you ski down the Tête Ronde slope. What a breathtaking landscape, you’d wish that this descent would last forever!

The best view

From Val Thorens, take the ski lift Funitel de Péclet and you are at the right place for a hot chocolate with whipped cream and rum. In this small but cozy café you can lounge with a view of the white peaks of the French Alps. Once you are warmed up, you can choose a challenging red or blue slope.

Après-ski dining

For a nice end to a day of skiing in Les 3 Vallées you go to La Chaumière. The atmosphere in this restaurant with red and white checkered tablecloths is incredibly cozy. La Chaumière mainly serves burgers, but the real big thing here is the local specialty: Savoyard cheese fondue. It tastes delicious and it is served with a smile.

Wellness

Anyone looking for relaxation after a day on the slopes can go to Espace Aqualudique. This pool has water jets and a slide and you can also use the wellness facilities such as a sauna, a jacuzzi and massage. So you keep your muscles smooth and you will be fully charged for a new day on the skis!

Après ski in Val Thorens

In Val Thorens you can start from 14 pm for a crazy terrace party at La Folie Douce. For DJs like the famous Nicky Romero, you can go to Le Malaysia, a club where the bar is literally on fire. Do you prefer a more quiet evening? Rhum’Box is a small and cosy hidden cafe where the cupboards are full of homemade rum.
